PROCESS:

Registering to take the ISA Certified Arborist exam is a 3-step process. Make sure you allow enough time to complete all steps for the exam date that you plan to sign up for!

  1. First, create an ISA account and be logged in.
  2. Apply to get your eligibility to take the exam approved by ISA. Click here to apply  (“apply now” is at the bottom brown box); you will be asked to submit proof that you have been employed in the industry full time for a minimum of 3 years, or alternately you can submit a combination of a degree plus fewer years of experience – read the application handbook for full details. This approval can take 5-10 business days. There are no fees for this step and once approved, your approval never expires.
  3. When you are ready to take the exam, log into your account to enroll in the exam of your choice. This step will require payment for the test fees. ISA headquarters must receive your enrollment & exam fees at least TWELVE BUSINESS DAYS prior to the exam date. NO EXCEPTIONS! (check ISA Headquarters office closures on the tan drop-down box at the bottom) ***PREPAYMENT IS REQUIRED*** VISA/MC/AMEX accepted. US FUNDS ONLY.

 

FLORIDA CHAPTER EXAM DATES:

More pencil-and-paper exams are scheduled as the year progresses; check back for newly scheduled exams if you don’t see one that suits your needs.

Alternately, you can register to conveniently take a computer exam at a Pearson Vue testing center near you for an additional fee. Click on the link, then type in type in an zip code to locate a test center nearest your zip code.
